The scope of this public event was to present the innovative Dream concept and results for the smart management of the electricity grid, as already demonstrated in real operational environments in France, Italy, Greece and The Netherland.

The event will include a visionary session and interactive panel sessions, as well as an extensive exhibition of Dream technology.

The dream project and its outcomes

In the DREAM project, started in September 2013, 12 academic and industrial European partners, supported by the European Commission, develop electricity‐grid management tools for a better integration of Renewable Energy Generation Sources.

Main Outcomes address:

  • Exploiting distributed intelligent devices, smart and self‐organizational solutions with market driven prosumers involvement to draw the future distribution grid architectures.
  • Allowing for larger amounts of distributed generation from renewable energy sources by leveraging new coordinated response methods, decreasing costs without compromising network reliability and quality of service.
  •  Validating the concept on different grid types and propose evolution for wider contribution by energy distribution players and final users to more efficient management of demand/response, congestion and contingency conditions.
